Dr. Benjamin Cable is a highly experienced and well-respected otolaryngologist with over 20 years of experience in the field. He has been invited to speak and teach at meetings across the United States and in eight countries around the globe, including at the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also an accomplished author, with more than 40 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters to his name, as well as being an invited reviewer of articles submitted for publication in ENT medical journals.
Dr. Cable’s military background has also been instrumental in his professional development. During his time in the military, he held a wide range of medical leadership positions, including being selected as the lead ENT doctor for the US Army, the Consultant to the Army Surgeon General, and as the Chief of Clinical Operations for NATO health care in Afghanistan.
Dr. Cable is a graduate of West Point, where he was a recipient of the Superintendent’s Award for Excellence and the Distinguished Cadet Award. He obtained his M.D. from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, where he was an Alpha Omega Alpha honors graduate and where he received the Distinguished Graduate Army Surgeon General’s award. He completed his otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and his pediatric ENT sub-specialty fellowship at the University of Iowa, a consistently top-ranked program within the largest university-owned teaching hospital in the country.
As a native of the Florida Keys, Dr. Cable enjoys being outdoors, spending time with his family and his dogs, and gardening, where he has been especially proud of growing many colorful dahlias and an 8-foot long snake bean last year. While Dr. Cable specializes in pediatric otolaryngology, he is also a highly-skilled and experienced general ENT, dedicated to helping patients of all ages achieve optimal health and wellness.
