Dr. Benjamin Martino is a Texas native born and raised in Denton, TX, who specializes in otolaryngology – head & neck surgery. He treats both pediatric and adult disorders affecting the ear, nose, throat, and sinuses. During his early high school years while attending Billy Ryan High School, he moved to Maracaibo, Venezuela where he became fluent in Spanish and graduated from Escuela Bella Vista as Salutatorian of his graduating class. He earned his undergraduate degree in Microbiology with a minor in Spanish from Brigham Young University, graduating with honors. Thereafter, he completed medical school at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in 2011, where he was inducted into and served as the President of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and received the prestigious Scott & White scholarship for academic excellence. Dr. Martino then went on to complete his otolaryngology – head & neck surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in southern California in 2016. While in training, he operated as head & neck surgery chief resident, served on the Resident Advisory Council and Medical Staff Executive Committee, and received several awards including multiple research awards and awards for the highest score on the otolaryngology training examination. His research interests include virology, immunology, molecular biology of cancer, sinonasal disease, intranasal steroids, and Mohs micrographic surgery. His clinical interests include thyroid and parathyroid disorders, head and neck cancer, salivary gland surgery, sinonasal disease, pediatrics, and complex ear disorders. A resident of Prosper, Dr. Martino’s time away from work centers around family activities with his wife and four beautiful daughters, with an occasional embarrassment on the golf course when time permits.
