Emily Merar is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is trained in otolaryngology for the management of both adult and pediatric patients. Emily was born in Greenville, TX but later moved to Irving where she resided while earning her first undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Dallas in Biology. She went on to earn a second Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at Texas Tech University, and later completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Bradley University. She is a current member of the American Association of Nurse practitioners and the Texas Nurse Practitioners. She takes pleasure in solving the unique cases her patients bring to her and welcomes the chance to fully explore any concerns you have. She recognizes the importance of a patient’s thorough understanding of their issue, as well as all treatment options available to them.
Emily currently lives in Prosper with her husband, Mike, and their goldendoodle, George. When not at work, she enjoys learning new skills by completing DIY projects around the house, and loves to travel.
